About us

We’re Ali and Jorge, the duo behind Bockety Box.

I’m Ali, from County Meath. Coming from both a chef and agricultural background, food and where it comes from have always been a part of me. Jorge is from Argentina, a place where family, food, and sharing meals are at the heart of everyday life. Together, we share a love for good, honest food and the farmers who grow it.

Bockety Box was born from a simple idea: to rescue the perfectly imperfect fruit and veg that often gets left behind. A carrot that’s a little crooked, an apple that’s not the right size, a cabbage with a few extra leaves, they all taste the same, but too often they go to waste. By working with Irish farms and local suppliers, we’re giving this produce a home while helping households across Ireland eat fresh, seasonal, and to divert  perfectly good food going to waste

For us, Bockety Box is about more than filling boxes. It’s about cutting down on food waste, supporting Irish growers, and keeping people connected to the land and the meals they share around the table.

So go on, join us in going a little bockety. It’s better for the planet, for farmers, and for your plate.
